The company has announced an agreement with OnStar, a subsidiary of General Motors (NYSE:GM), to wirelessly deliver an enhanced suite of safety, security, diagnostic and infotainment services to the majority of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. This would begin during 2014 in the U.S. and Canada. The multi-year agreement requests that AT&T enable millions of GM cars, trucks and crossovers with 4G LTE mobile Internet access along with a new suite of infotainment services like streaming audio, web access, applications, and even video for backseat passengers. Furthermore, AT&T is to enable GM’s in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspots and voice calling services. Contractual and financial details of the agreement have not yet been revealed.

According to the company’s CEO, Vittorio Colao, it does not need to sell part of its stake in the Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ) joint venture in the U.S. as a means to improve its position in Europe, Reuters reports. Colao stated that the British company had a healthy balance sheet and has the potential to invest when needed.
MetroPCS Communications, Inc. (NYSE:PCS): Current Price: $9.94
MetroPCS will report earnings on Tuesday. The company saw a drop of 1.29 percent to $9.95 late last week, but for the most part, shares have traded between $9.50 and $10.50 for the last three months.
