Sprint and Telefonica have decided to team up in order to increase the reach of their respective mobile advertising networks and collaborate on targeted ads for brands worldwide. The carriers’ alliance will reach a combined 370 million customers, as Sprint will service 55 million customers in the US and Telefonica will cover over 314 million customers across 25 countries in Latin America and Europe. As teams work with advertisers and agencies to plan additional multi-national campaigns, the alliance will likely expand to Asia.

The company made an announcement that it scheduled its Special Meeting of Stockholders, related to its proposed combination with T-Mobile USA (DTEGY), for March 28, 2013, and it filed its definitive proxy statement materials with the Securities and Exchange Commission. At the Special Meeting, MetroPCS stockholders of record as of January 31, 2013 are to vote on matters concerning the combination of MetroPCS with T-Mobile. The combination of MetroPCS with T-Mobile are to create the leading value wireless carrier in the United States, delivering great customer experience along with a broad selection of affordable products and services.

LGS Innovations, an independent subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, was awarded a contract worth $14.1 million for the transition of the U.S. Army’s Fort Leonard Wood to a digital Voice-over Internet Protocol data system. Fort Leonard Wood provides all Department of Defense training for earthmoving, truck driving, civil support, and CBRN First Responders.
Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE:JNPR): Current Price: $20.33
At the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, the company’s CFO said that long-term demand in routing continues to be strong, as traffic volumes have seen a rise in all verticals and geographies. According to the CFO, Juniper’s routing portfolio is as “robust as ever” and the its goal is to “take share”.
